Initial 'A'(udiens) with foliate decoration. According to a mid-12th-century catalogue of Durham priory library, originally this manuscript was bound together with another tract, entitled 'Descripcione regnorum diversorum in Anglia antiquitus': see ~Catalogi veteres~ 1838; Harrison 2004.The manuscript also includes

• Inscription recording the pledge of the book with three other manuscripts by John Kyrkby in the Guildford chest, Oxford, on 8 July 1468, for 30 shillings, reading 'Cau[ci]o m[agistr]i Joh. Kyrkby expo[si]ta i[n] cista de gilford An[n]o do[min]i m° cccc° lxviii° die m[en]sis julii / lib[er] Aug[ustin]i de t[r]initate 2° fo[lio] sine proemnis habent et h[abe]t 3 suppra 2°fo[lio] p[ro] d[om]i[n]o mune[r]e / 2° fo[lio] q[u]i malefac[er]e 2° fo[lio] 3 d[is]ti[n]ctio p[er] arti[cu]los et iacet p[ro] xxx s.'; and another inscription recording the plegde of the book on 11 February 1469, for 28 shillings, reading 'Cauci[o] Kyrkby ex[posi]ta a[nn]o d[omi]ni m° lxix ix die me[n]s[is] februarii et iacet p[ro] xxviii s.'; with an information added by the same hand, reading, 'in q[uod] p[ro] suppra[scrip]to s° folio distinct[i]o p[er] artic[u]los ... 2° fo[lio] et post pauca et d[omi]n[u]s W. Decorated initial 'L'(ecturus) at the beginning of the book 1 of the De Trinitate of Augstine. According to the unpublished notes of Michael Gullick, the scribe also wrote Cambridge, Corpus Christi College, 332, ff. 41-90, Cambridge, Trinity College O.2.24,

• Ownership inscription of the cathedral priory of St Andrew, Rochester, reading 'Liber de claust[r]o Roffens[i] quem qui inde alienav[er]it aliena/tum celaverit, vel hunc titulum in fraudem delev[erit] Ana/thema sit Amen', with another inscription added by Thomas Wybarn, monk of Rochester, recording that the book was written by Humphrey, precentor, reading 'hu[n]c lib[ru]m sc[r]ipsit f[rate]r Hu[m]frid[us] in claust[r]o roff[ens]is quo[n]da[m] / p[re]centor illi[us] eccl[es]ie ... die[m] p[ro]picit[ur] de[us] am[en]', and 'orate p[ro] eo quod Wybarn.', De Trinitate
